Iron farms are probably the most complex of the farms I will be discussing. They use villagers and a zombie to spawn iron golems and then kill them to get iron.
Iron farms are a completely afk way to get iron. They are usually built near a village so it is easier to get the villagers into the farm.
Most iron farms are only about 60% efficient. This is because of many different factors but the most important are the time to kill and spawning platform. Most farms have a exteremely slow time to kill using lava to slowly burn them to death. And the bigger the spawning platofor the better
An iron farm can also be build without a zombie but are much slower. This is because the villagers want to have an iron golem near them to protect them if there are zombies or not.
Iron farms can become the laggiest type of farm. They are invifinitely stackable using loaded chunks and not a radi around the player for them to work you could build as many as you want and then build chunk loaders to keep them always workig hard for you.
Iron farms, if designed well are the fastest way to get iron in the game.
Iron farms are infinitely stackable and you can get as much iron per hour as you want.
Iron farms also generate poppies which can be used to make red dye.
I would highly recommend building this even a simple design such as this is more than enough for most players.
